We mourn the passing of our family member, James Dennis Pigg, Sr. , who died in his home on June 28, 2021.
Mr. Pigg is survived by his wife, Susan (Wooten) Pigg, son, James Dennis Pigg, Jr., daughter, Jennifer Renee Pigg (James) Manns, all of Yazoo City and step-son John Ray (Staycee) of Pearl, MS.
Mr. Pigg is also survived by his siblings; Ronnie (Christi) Pigg of Bentonia, Wylene Pigg (Gary) of Bentonia, Cathy Jo (Pigg) Martin of Lake Charles, Louisiana, William David (Anita) Pigg of Bentonia, and
Holly (Cynthia) Pigg of Bentonia. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Pigg was preceded in death by his parents, Father, Willie Richard (Bill) Pig and Mother, Josephine (Sanders) Pigg and granddaughter, Kathyrn Manns.
Mr. Pigg worked alongside his father and brothers many years with Tinsley Oil Service as a rig operator. After leaving the oil field, Mr. Pigg drove an 18-wheeler for various companies. Mr. Pigg also enlisted with the National Guard Service and served 6 years.
Mr. Pigg also will be greatly missed by his beloved little dog, Charlie, who was a dear companion and service dog to him.
Serving as pallbearers are Ronnie PIgg, William David Pigg, Holly Pigg, James Manns, Steven Pigg, Hunter Pigg, Clay Pigg and Austin Jordan.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 29 from 5-7 p.m. at Scott Funeral Home.
Graveside service will be Wednesday, June 30, at 10 a.m. at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Services under the direction of Scott’s Funeral Home
