Charles "Charlie" Robert Ward Jr.
October 1969 - May 2021
Charlie was born in Montgomery, AL to Charles Robert Ward, Sr. and Dianne Jordan Ward who eventually made Yazoo City their home. He was employed by MS AG (John Deere) and worked faithfully as their parts manager for many years.
He was married to the love of his life, Crystal McClain Ward, for 23 years. He was the proud father of three children. His beautiful daughter, Ashley Elizabeth Thomas, 33 (Tim), of Raymond, MS. Two amazing sons, Charles Robert Ward, III “Chase”, 28, and Charles Anthony Ward, 21, both of Yazoo City.
Charlie was a man who loved life, and he lived it to the fullest. He loved his family fiercely. Some of the hobbies he enjoyed were hunting, fishing, being on the lake, and spending time outdoors. Most of all he loved being with his family, and spending every moment with his wife, children, and three grandchildren, Addison Claire Blount, Preston Colby Blount, and Breeanna May Thomas, all of Raymond, MS.
Charlie is survived by his wife and children, along with his grandchildren, his parents, and a sister, Diana Ward Crimm (Travis) of Yazoo City, a niece, Erica Crimm Grossman (Joe), a nephew, Charles Taylor Crimm, and a host of family and friends.
Services will be officiated by Rev. Chancellor May, at the Saxton Family Cemetery in Midway and will be under the direction of Stricklin-King Funeral Home on
Saturday, May 22 at 11 a.m. A time for visitation will follow the graveside services.
To know Charlie was to love him. He will forever be missed, but NEVER forgotten.
