For the second time this season Yazoo County cruised past Benton Academy with a 10-2 win. The Panthers previously defeated the Raiders 14-0 at Holmes Community College.
John Catlett, Myron Straughter and Parker Barron each had two hits to lead the Panthers at the plate.
Will Andrews and Catlett each drove in three runs for Yazoo County.
Jordan Jaco earned the win for the Panthers by striking out three while giving up four hits and just one run over four innings of work. Parker Barron and TJ Rials also had strong performances in relief.
The Panthers were solid in defense with no errors in the game.
Robles went 3-for-4 from the plate to lead Benton. He also pitched for the Raiders in the loss.
Following the home win against Benton, the Panthers lost a doubleheader at Manchester 4-2 and 12-1 and a road game at Winona 5-1.
