The Yazoo County Panthers dropped a 33-32 heartbreaker to Amanda Elzy on Homecoming this past Friday night.
Scoring wasn’t a problem for either team as both squads scored five touchdowns on the night.
The point after kicks or conversion attempts were something else altogether, however.
In the end, Elzy was able to convert on more PAT attempts to seal the win.
They were successful on three of five attempts while the County only converted one out of their five chances.
Leading the way for the Panthers offense was Jarrett Jasper, who completed 11-of-17 passes for 111 yards and a touchdown. He also had 48 yards and two scores on 13 carries.
Kevontae Jones rushed for 142 yards on 15 carries and had a TD of his own.
Malikh Brown was the leading reeiver with two receptions for 46 yards and Cameron Willimas had four catches for 25 yards.
Timothy Grant and Brayden Jones led the defense with 11 and 10 tackles respectively.
Yazoo County travels to Thomas E. Edwards this Friday.
