Lintonia Garden Club met at the Public Service Commission for their April 27 meeting. Lintonia Garden Club is affiliated with National Garden Clubs Inc., Deep South Region, the Garden Clubs of Mississippi Inc., and River Road District. President Robbie Montgomery called the meeting to order.
The date for the flower arranging class at Manchester Academy has been set for May 4. Report from the State Convention held in Biloxi was given by Elouise Upchurch. The State Convention for 2017 will be in Greenwood. River Road District meeting will be in Greenville on May 18. Awards obtained by the club at the state convention were shared.
Plans for the fall meeting of River Road District were discussed. Lintonia and Four Seasons Garden Clubs will host that meeting to be held in Yazoo City on Sept. 29. Lintonia Garden Club will travel to Callaway’s Yard and Garden Center for the May 25 meeting.
Refreshments were served by Donna Powell and Peggy Saxton. The door prize was won by Marjorie Williams.
