Letter: Fire protection argument started when mayor took office

Almost from Day 1, there has been continuous bickering and fighting since Diane Delaware became mayor of Yazoo City. Now the Mayor wants to cut off the county from the city’s fire protection that has been working well for many years until she got involved.

Incident destroyed my faith in our police

The American people, and we the people of Yazoo, are asked to trust the police – told that they are here to serve and protect us in our pursuit of law-abiding happiness. We are told to come to the police when we are threatened and when the safety of our homes, businesses, and children are at stake.
