Dear Editor,
I had two glorious days last week.
On Thursday I traveled to Vicksburg with the Convention& Visitors Bureau to represent Yazoo County at the Convention Center during Travel and Tourism Week. Dressed as the Witch of Yazoo, I was pleased to greet people who were travelling from various places. I was silent for a short spell, and I scared on lady who thought I was a mannequin until I moved.
Shanitra Finley and Dawn Davis do a great job representing Yazoo County, and I loved being with them.
Saturday was another great day when I was down on Main Street to hear the great music of some of my favorite musicians including Yazoo Gold, Joe Smith and Friends and Jamie Isonhood during the Jerry Clower Festival. There was plenty of delicious food, and I enjoyed bidding on items in the silent auction in the No Smoking Smokehouse.
At the Manna House I am called the “Good Witch.”
Whatever role the Good Lord wants me to play, I will try to do my best because I love Yazoo.
Yours truly.
