Dear Editor,
I learned early in life how important it was to learn the definitions of words, and “opinion” was one of the first and most important because we will hear various opinions every day from people we meet.
Opinions are not facts, they are just how others interpret what they see, hear and feel.
The next thing I learned was to respect the opinions of others as we hope that others will respect our own. The column in Wednesday’s edition of The Herald by my friend Mr. Walter Patters stated, “We dodged a bullet by electing Trump.”
My question is, did we dodge a bullet or put a gun to our heads?
