Dear Editor,
Oh no, you may not have read much here lately about that "little church with a big heart," as Sheriff Sheriff says about Satartia First, but be assured, they are a people on the move!
The church has purchased $4,000 in directional and informational permanent signage which you will begin to see going up within 15 miles of the church during the month of November.
Their adoption of Bentonia-Gibbs is an ongoing relationship which continues to grow, but still needs more community support; and I have been asked to bring the Thanksgiving message for the annual Community Wide Thanksgiving Service, sponsored by the Yazoo City Ministerial Association, which will be held on Sunday evening, November 20, at 6 p.m., at Word of Faith Church on Jackson Ave. in Yazoo City.
However, this little family of faith has taken a HUGE leap of faith, and is planning a county-wide youth retreat for the third week of July 2017! Since 2007, I have been leading excursions to a high adventure, spirit-filled, gospel preaching camp in Andrews, North Carolina, known as Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters.
In 2017, Satartia First will lead the charge on this county-wide youth camp, with the hope of uniting and strengthening area teenagers through a week which I can only describe as a week you'll never get over, and a week you'll never forget!
Yazoo County churches have first-opportunity to sign up one student or a dozen before Satartia opens this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity up to students beyond the county borders. Student pastors from every church and parents alike are encouraged to visit swoutfitters.com to learn more of the camp, and then contact me at 601-668-4584 or
broroyce1@yahoo.com to learn how to sign up their student (s).
BIG THINGS are happening at the little church in Satartia with a big heart, and you are welcome to join us on our Kingdom adventure of expanding the fame, glory, and renown of Christ Jesus in Yazoo County, and beyond.
Sincerely,
Bro. Royce Lott
pastor, Satartia First
