I cannot fully express how grateful I am to Yazoo Valley Electric and the Benton Volunteer Fire Department.
Last Friday we had an incident at our home where a tree fell and broke the wires that provide power to our home. It caused a fire on the roof.
Both the Benton volunteer firefighters and Yazoo Valley Electric quickly responded. Roger Threet and Michael Neely determined that the fire was out, and our home was no longer in danger.
The crew from Yazoo Valley Electric stayed until 1:30 in the morning getting the power restored to our home.
I hope that everyone in our community realizes how fortunate we are to have such good people ready to respond when we need them.
I cannot thank them enough.
