Dear Editor,
The county should not take credit for what the Yazoo Convention & Visitors Bureau contributes to Parks & Recreation. The city is just as responsible, if not more responsible, for this contribution.
The Yazoo Convetion & Visitors Bureau contributes, $45,000, the county contributes $46,080, and the city contributes $117,000.
The county needs to stop making excuses and contribute more money to the Parks & Recreation Commission. There is an immediate need. Maybe with more funding, there will be improvement in parks and recreation which will benefit all of the children and adults in both the county and city.
I think with time, the city will contribute more money.
