Dear Editor,
I have an excellent personal doctor, and his staff is also outstanding.
However, I seem to have medical emergencies on weekends and holidays. Twice in the last three months I had to visit the local emergency department and during the past holiday, the Primary Care Clinic – both at Baptist Medical Center Yazoo.
At the emergency room, my situation was quickly diagnosed by Dr. Chauvin and Nurse Hope. I received instant relief from severe pain that I had suffered for seven hours.
At the Primary Care Clinic, Nurse Practitioner Ingram and Nurse Lewis cared for my cold with shots and medication, relieving me from my suffering in a couple of days. I imagine this goes on at our Baptist Medical Center 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It would have been a long and painful trip to Jackson if they were not here.
By the way, Nurse Lewis is the step-mother of New England Patriot football star Malcolm Butler, who made that famous interception in Super Bowl XLIX against the Seattle Seahawks on Jan. 25, 2015. He played at Vicksburg High School. She can give you a milder shot that her son.
In conclusion, go Giants and Eli!
