Thenya Kennedy, of Yazoo City, was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa (PTK).
PTK is a two-year honor society to celebrate educational excellence at their two-year institutions and beyond. This honor society opens students up to multiple scholarship opportunities, including transfer scholarships at state universities like Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Delta State, and the University of Southern Mississippi.
To qualify to be a part of PTK students must have completed 12 hours of coursework with at least at 3.5 GPA. Once a student is eligible, they receive an invitation, usually by mail.
