The Yazoo City Indians had the tough task of taking on perennial powerhouse Holmes County this past Friday.
After trailing 18-0 early, the Indians battled back, but in the end the Jaguars’ lead proved to be insurmountable as they went on to win 40-14.
The Indians dropped to 1-1 on the season heading into this week’s home tilt against rival Yazoo County.
“It took us too long to get started,” said YHS head coach Justin Washington. Our first three drives we went three and out.”
Tobias McGee and Tyler Taylor scored the Indians two TDs.
