Ja’lerian Verniyah Anzayda McDade Benson, 17, of Milwaukee, passed away on May 6, 2025.
Funeral services were held on May 16 at Kingdom M.B. Church in Milwaukee with Pastor James Bynum officiating.
She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Angela Faye Gilbert Wallace and Mary Louise Rawls; great grandparents, MotherE.L. Gilbert and Charlie Gilbert, Myrtle Wallace, Paul and Hattie Green; uncle, Jerry Moncho Green; brother, Josiah Wallace; great aunts, Mary McCurry and Laura Griffin; and numerous cousins.
Survivors include her parents, Janet Green and David Benson Jr.; siblings, Daveontay, Sa’Vonja, SaJaveon, Sonjai, Je’Metrius, Dai’Shonna, Dayveon, Daveyonna, Daviella, Daeyon, Destiny, Zion, King David and Dayven; grandfathers, Jerry Green, Hudie Wallace and David Benson Sr.; grandmother, Shirley Clay; bonus dad, Savonta Rawls; numerous aunts and uncles; and extended family and friends.
