Authorities continue to search for two wanted fugitives who are both possibly connected to murder cases.
Bobby McGee and Desmond Robinson remain on the run from local authorities.
Bobby McGee is wanted in connection to a Vicksburg murder case that his sister, Summer McGee, was charged with last month.
Summer McGee, of Yazoo, was charged with first-degree murder by the Vicksburg Police Department in connection with the shooting death of 37-year-old Moses Luckett. Appearing in the Vicksburg Municipal Court following her arrest, a judge placed a $1 million bond on Summer McGee.
Summer McGee, 20, allegedly shot Luckett in the chest in an apartment on Alcorn Drive in Vicksburg. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Luckett still alive with a gunshot wound. He would later die from his injury.
Terry Gann, chief investigator with the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Department, said Summer McGee and her brother returned to Yazoo County after the murder. Sheriff Jacob Sheriff pulled their vehicle over near Eagle Bend Road on Highway 3.
“As the sheriff got Summer out of the vehicle and began putting handcuffs on her, Bobby McGee fled into the woods,” Gann said.
Gann said the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Department also had a warrant for Bobby McGee’s arrest in connection with a drive-by shooting last month.
Since the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Department does not have a K-9 unit with tracking dogs, local authorities had to wait on assistance from Madison and Warren Counties.
“During our search for Bobby McGee, we had a number of things that slowed us down,” Gann said. “Rain moved into the area, which caused the dogs not to be able to track anymore. And the long length of time it takes for another agency to arrive with their dogs hindered our efforts.”
Gann said calls began coming in later in the day with sightings of Bobby McGee in the Tinsley area.
“He broke into a car in that area and stole a gun,” Gann said. “After stealing the gun, he slipped through the woods to Denbury, where he stole a truck and fled the area.”
The Denbury truck was later found near Center Ridge Road near a vacant house.
“The Vicksburg Police Department is also working on placing a warrant on Bobby McGee as well,” Gann added. “They believed he was involved with the murder as well.”

Robinson, a Yazoo City man with a lengthy criminal history, is wanted by the Yazoo City Police Department in connection to a murder. And investigators need the public’s assistance in locating him.
A warrant has been issued for Robinson, and Crimestoppers is offering a cash reward up to $1,500 for information on his whereabouts.
“Robinson is wanted in connection to a homicide case that occurred within the city last year,” said Captain William Nevels, with the Yazoo City Police Department.
