We have seen all of the craziness that has been going on in the United States, but the election of Donald Trump has sparked what Rush Limbaugh has labeled "a special kind of stupid." Liberals all across Europe have gone into shock, and even Tony Blair, a man whom I admired, has emerged from his self -imposed isolation to say that the British should not get out of the European Union. "It is not too late to reverse course," Tony tells his followers. "Yes, Tony, it is." The people have spoken and somehow, you must accept the results. But Blair is a "globalist," and accepting reality may be difficult.
Which brings me to the subject of the United Nations. This body is filled with globalists, socialists, dictators, communist, and others too nefarious to mention. Why the United States remains a party to this dysfunctional cabal is a mystery to me. When I was still very young, I remember highway billboards that implored the Unites States to "get out of the United Nations."
A world body to handle international disputes was the brain child of Woodrow Wilson when he proposed the League of Nations. This idea was soundly rejected by his own Congress which means to me that the U. S. rejected communism and socialism. Later, the "new world order" types proposed and got the United Nations. But since its inception, I cannot think of one positive thing this group of world leaders has done other than to financially drain the United States dry- and we pay big bucks for this treatment. It lends new credence to Donald Trump’s assertion that "our leaders are stupid."
The United Nations is all in for "climate change." It sees climate change as a vehicle to charge a world wide carbon tax which will hit the United States the hardest because we are the biggest economy in the world. It even has its own climate research unit, and of course this unit issues the most alarming "faux research" its creative writers can find. Almost daily, we read where the United Nations fears that islands in the Pacific will be covered in water within the next 10 years, or that the polar bear is dying because there is no sea ice.
Donald Trump has promised that he will not continue to fund this nonsense. He is not going to be caught in the trap of having our people taxed for an imaginary problem. In England, a group of creative writers (scientists, globalists) have proposed the brilliant idea of "Taxing food to reduce climate Change."
Certainly you must be joking, Mr. Columnist. No, I’m not. "Taxing greenhouse gas emissions from food production could save more emissions than are currently generated by global aviation, and, and lead to half a million fewer deaths from chronic diseases," according to a new study published in Nature Climate Change. "The researchers found that beef would have to be 40 per cent more expensive globally to pay for the climate damage caused by its production. The price of milk and other meats would need to increase by up to 20 per cent." Did Donald Trump mention that our leaders are stupid? I will bet good money that none of these clowns have missed a meal in the last 10 years.
But there is evidence everywhere that the climate change that is occurring is natural. Take for example this fact. "Antarctic sea ice has not shrunk in 100 years."
"Experts were concerned that ice at the South Pole had declined significantly since the 1960s. But new analysis suggests that conditions are now virtually identical to those found in the early 1900s,"
While the globalists, communists, and "new world order" crowd are trying to take my steak away or at least double the price for it, Donald Trump is vowing to "Scrap NASA climate research in a crackdown on ‘politicized science’."
As Barnum once famously said, "There is a sucker born every minute." We have witnessed plenty of them lately, but the good news is that it appears that Donald Trump is not one of them.
