An alderman rescinded his previous nomination to the Public Service Commission Board of Commissioners this week with the city council later voting on the post.
During a September Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting, Alderman Macklyn Austin nominated Cobie Collins Sr. to replace the post left vacant with the passing of Dr. William Nelson.
However, during Monday’s city council meeting, Austin rescinded that nomination. He then nominated Kim McCoy in that post with the city board’s approval.
Another post left vacant included the Historical Preservation Committee with the passing of member George Dixon.
Austin also nominated Patricia Nelson, which was also approved by the city council.
