The Benton Academy Lady Raiders and Raiders split a pair of contests on the road last week at Calhoun Academy.
The Raiders were victorious by a score of 71-46 while the Lady Raiders dropped a 62-44 decision. The loss drops the Lady Raiders to 6-6 on the season while the win was the second for the Raiders, now 2-7.
A quartet of Raiders reached double figures for Benton in the win led by sophomores Ethan Shanks and Tanner Vandevere each with 17 points. Bryce Ables added 13 and Clayton Saxton chipped in with 11.
Other scorers were Cullen McCain with seven, Dalton Robles with three, Aiden ? with two and Prather ? with one.
For the Lady Raiders, Brynn Blackstock led the way with 14 points and was joined in double digits by Maci Lowery with 12. Sarah Bailey Jackson added nine, Leta Greco had eight and Emma Middleton, one.
Benton hosted Tri-County on Tuesday night and travels to Clinton Christian this Friday for the final game of the calendar year.
