Local restaurant owner Johnny Crow recently resigned from his post of chairman of the Yazoo County Convention and Visitors Bureau board.
Crow’s letter of resignation was submitted last month with the post remaining opening as of press time.
Candidates are already completing the requirements to qualify for county posts in the upcoming Yazoo County elections.
Applications for homestead exemption will be taken until April 1, 2019.
Applications will be accepted at the Yazoo County Courthouse from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, until April 1.
