Shirley Summerlin, 73, of Benton passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at The Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.  Shirley was from a large family in Durant and was married to her husband David for 53 years.






Lynn A. Neely

Lynn A. Neely, 87, died Feb. 24, 2017.
Funeral services are Tuesday at 2 p.m. Central-Holmes Cemetery with Rev. Jon Vanlandingham officiating. Burial followed under the direction of Stricklin-King Funeral Home.




James R. Burrell

James R. Burrell, 81, died Feb. 20, 2017 at his home in Yazoo City.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mr. Burrell was born Nov. 22, 1935 in Yazoo City to Vardaman and Frances Lowery Burrell. He worked in construction.
