On Saturday MSDH is reporting 322 new cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 17 new deaths.
Mississippi's total of COVID-19 cases since March 11 now stands at 11,123, with 510 deaths. Currently there are 428 Mississippians hospitalized with confirmed COVID-19 infection.
45 of the new cases reported today were among residents in long-term care facilities, and there are now 101 active outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities (where an outbreak is one or more cases among residents or staff).
Yazoo County now has 182 confirmed cases and four cases that are reported to be in long term care facilities. The state does not provide information about which facilities have cases.
Around 50 cases and one death in Yazoo County are inmates and staff at the federal prison.
