Mr. Henry Neil Kirk, Jr. and Ms. Leslie Barrentine Faulkenbery were united in marriage in an outdoor ceremony on the chilly evening of April 15, 2020 on their family property. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, only their children and their parents were in physical attendance while lots of other friends and family members watched by webcam.
Entering the ceremony site down the candlelit pathway to a simply decorated exquisite antique wrought iron archway, Miss Farrah Grace Meagan Faulkenbery attended her mother as flower girl and Miss Macee Rae Kirk, daughter of the groom, was Maid of Honor. Ty Young Pan Faulkenbery, son of the bride, tended the responsibility of ring bearer while Aubrey Neil Kirk stood with his father as Best Man. The joining of these two families was breathtakingly beautiful as the sun was setting. Reverend Leston Cowart, pastor of Concord Baptist Church, performed the double ring ceremony, while Mrs. Fran Twiner did an amazing job as photographer.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the ceremony site. Chicken bites, fruit and vegetable trays with dips, meats, cheese and cracker trays and raspberry lemonade and water was available for all to enjoy, along with the stunning cake prepared by Jan’s Cake Place.
Neil and Leslie have made their home in Benton. Neil is employed by Nucor Steel in Flowood and Leslie will be teaching at Yazoo County High School. They will be taking a “Family-Moon” to the beach this summer.
Parents of the couple are Mr. George Barrentine, Ms. Connie Bourne Barrentine and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Neil Kirk, Sr.
