KUDZU COMMUNITY PLAYERS will hold audtions for its fall production of Neil Simon’s God’s Favorite on Sept. 2 at 7 p.m. and Sept. 4 at 10 a.m. at the Triangle Cultural Center. The actors needed are Job, who is 50 to 60 years old; his wife, who is in her 50s; and two children who are in their 20s and twins.

SHILOH CEMETERY will hold a yard sale on Sept. 4 at 7 a.m. at Ebenezer Store. Estate and household items, clothing, etc. were donated for the Shiloh Cemetery Fund.

YAZOO CHAPTER NSDAR will hold its first meeting of the Chapter Year on Sept. 16 at 2 p.m. in the country home of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Sigrest, at 2770 Old Highway 16. Members will receive information concerning committee assignments for the year and hear a report on Continental Congress by MSDDAR Regent Janet Looney Whittington. FRIENDS OF SHILOH CEMETERY annual business meeting will be held on Sept. 18 at 10 a.m. in the Shiloh church building. All members are encouraged to attend.

GALILEE M.B. CHURCH will celebrate the dedicated years of service of its pastor and first lady, Rev. Calvin Knight and Annie Knight, on Sept. 19 at 2:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Bernard Luckett, pastor of Mt. Mariah Baptist Church.

GRACE, Giving Resources Alternatives Confidence Empowerment, will hold its opening night on Sept. 25 from 5-8 p.m. at the Yazoo City National Guard Armory. GRACE is a nonprofit organization designed to help women know their purpose in life. The event is geared towards young ladies and women 13 years old and up.
