(within fifteen days of awarding lease) 5% of bid amount will be made payable in the form of cashier’s check or money order at the time of bid.         (Refundable if bid not successful)  A security deposit in the amount of 1 year’s tax will be paid at the execution of the Contract.
The County Board of Education reserves the right to execute timber deeds; oil, gas and mineral leases; and deed for rights of way serving power, gas, tele  phone lines and public roads.    
All leases will be subject to the laws of  Mississippi  regarding the use of timber upon Sixteenth Section lands.
Lessees will be required to indemnify and hold harmless Lessor from any and all damages, claims or rights of action of any kind or nature whatsoever arising out of any acts of Lessees, their agents, servants, employees,  guests or invitees,  in the exercise of the rights granted in said lease.  Lessee will also be required to procure general liability insurance in an amount to be determined by Lessor which will name Lessor as an insured under said policy or policies to   protect Lessor from any and all damages or claims arising out of Lessees acts   in the exercise of the rights granted under said lease.
Bid forms shall be secured from the Office of the County Superintendent of    Education.  All bids are required to be submitted on such form.
Each bidder must satisfy the Board of Education as to his ability to comply with  the term of his bid.
The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to   waive informalities.

The Mississippi Families First Resource Center (FFRC) RFP has been amended with a change in the submission date. The Mississippi Department of Human Services (MDHS) will accept sealed proposals during business hours of 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. until October 31, 2011, at the MDHS State Office Building Lobby, 750 North State Street, Jackson MS 39202, or by mail at P.O. Box 352, Jackson, MS 39205-0352, for the purpose of soliciting proposals from interested parties who can most effectively and cost-efficiently administer a Families First Resource Center (FFRC). Proposals will be accepted from organizations currently established as Families First Resource Centers (FFRC) and providing abstinence, healthy marriage, parenting and fatherhood education classes to families in Mississippi.  The Program shall also provide a variety of family support services, which enhance/strengthen the ability of parents to respond to their children in a positive manner, stabilize the family unit, prevent teenage pregnancies, increase parenting skills and knowledge, and prevent serious disruptions in family life.  All services are provided at no charge to the youth and their families.  The proposal must address all of the following services:

1. Abstinence-Until-Marriage and Youth Development Education  
2. Healthy Marriage Education
3. Responsible Fatherhood Training
4. Parenting Skills Training

“SECTION 1.45 GENERAL REGULATIONS FOR MANUFACTURED HOMES
1.45.01 Purpose of Manufactured homes: This ordinance recognizes and declares that manufactured homes offer affordable housing opportunities for some Yazoo City residents. It is the intent of this section to allow for the provision of needed and properly planned locations for manufactured houseing as defined in this ordinance. It is the purpose here to provide and alternative form of affordable houseing in certain residential districts where it is determined that manufacture housing is compatible with surrounding residential areas. Manufactured housing may be allowed in certain residential district to relieve hardship situations. It also may be allowed for the replacement of dilapidated or otherwise poor housing, to place manufactured homes on vacant/undersized lots, and to provide for people needing close attention and care. Mobile homes are not permitted since they do not meet the HUD Code and present safety hazards.
1.45.02 Installation of Manufactured Homes: Manufactured homes must be installed by a licensed installer/transporter licensed by the State Fire Marshal’s Office and tied down properly in order to make sure that the home remains stable during a storm. All manufactured homes must be installed/tied down according to one of the following means.
- As described in the
installation manual that
came with the mobile home,
or
- If no manual is available,
then use minimum
standards available from the
State Fire Marshal’s office or
from the Building
Inspector’s Office.
1.45.03 Manufactured Home Foundations: All manufactured homes shall be placed on a permanent foundation required by 42 U.S. Code 5401 et. Sec.
1.45.04 Skirting around manufactured Homes: Skirting shall be provided around the bottom of all sides of manufactured homes in the form of brick or stone, solid wood (not lattice work), solid metal, or vinyl.
1.45.05 Manufactured Home Zoning District Locations Permitted: Manufactured homes are permitted outright in Manufactured Home Park Residential Districts and Mixed Use Residential Districts, but may be permitted by Special Exception in R-3 medium-Density Residential Districts, R-4 Multi-family Residential Districts, and C-1 Neighborhood Commercial Districts.
1.45.06 Use of Manufactured Homes in Hardship, Temporary, or Emergency Situations: Special exception situations related to manufactured homes include the following:
1.    Cases in which a
manufactured home is
needed in order for a
person or family member
to take care of another
family member by reason
of advanced age, physical
disability, medical or
mental problems/
hardships.
2.    Cases involving financial
hardships. Final
Determination of financial
hardship must be made
by the Board of Mayor
and Aldermen.

owner wishes to build his

The Mississippi Department of Human Services (MDHS) will accept sealed proposals during business hours of 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. until October 17, 2011 at the MDHS State Office Building Lobby, 750 North State Street, Jackson MS 39202, or by mail at P.O. Box 352, Jackson, MS 39205-0352, for the purpose of soliciting proposals from interested parties who can most effectively and cost-efficiently develop a customized web-based tool to track program activities, measure program performance, and evaluate program success; and, evaluate the Foundation for Families Programs (Families First Resource Centers, and Youth Prevention and Intervention Program) and other Subgrantees.  Proposals will be accepted from public and private research-based organizations or local universities with experience in conducting evaluation research on community or school-based programs that are designed to improve the economic and social well-being of children and families.  The Subgrantee for this grant shall develop a customized web-based tool using standard web-based tools for use by MDHS subgrantees.  The Subgrantee shall have had proven experience both technically and programmatically in developing web-based evaluation, data entry and reporting tools.  The web-based system shall be scalable for future growth in the program.
