Miss Dickerson to wed Paul

Miss Jordan Dickerson and Che’ PaulMiss Jordan Dickerson and Che’ PaulMr. and Mrs. Joe Dan Dickerson of Benton announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Donna Jordan Dickerson, to William Fouche’ Paul, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lew Durant of Yazoo City and Mr. Bill Paul of Brandon.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Coleman of Yazoo City, Mrs. Carolyn Hicks of Madison and the late Mr. Cark Hicks Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Bill Warren of Jackson and the late Jerry Dickerson Sr. of Durant.
Miss Dickerson is a 2007 graduate of Benton Academy and a 2011 graduate of Holmes Community College. She earned an Associate’s Degree as an Occupational Therapy Assistant from Holmes Community College in Ridgeland.
She is an occupational therapy assistant at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Tom Fouche’ of Yazoo City and the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Paul of Yazoo City.
He is a 2001 graduate of Manchester Academy and a 2003 graduate of Hinds Community College, where he received an Associate’s Degree in Electronics Technology and Telecommunications.
He is employed at AT&T in Madison.
The couple will be married on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 11 a.m. in Parkview Church of God.
Rev. Ken Lynch of Parkview and Rev. Glenn Allen of Scotland Baptist Church will officiate the double ring ceremony.
A reception will follow at the fellowship hall of Parkview Church of God.
It will be a small, private family ceremony Invitations will be sent.

 

Mt. Zion making strides for heart disease

The members of the Mt. Zion M.B. Church in Vaughan in collaboration with the Linwood Community and surrounding counties hosted its first annual 5K walk for Heart Disease on Feb. 23. The walk consisted of 41 participants of all ages. Each participant wore red in support of the “GO RED” campaign. All proceeds collected for the cause will be donated to the American Heart Association.  The members of the Mt. Zion M.B. Final plans set for Shipp-Potter wedding

Mr. and Mrs. Louis Shipp announce the final plans for the wedding of their daughter, Katherine Cecelia (Katie) Shipp, to Jayson Wayne Potter, the son of Jay Potter of Ridgeland and Sherry Potter of Brookhaven.
Anne Marie Martin of Madison, sister of the bride, will serve as maid of honor. Bridesmaid will be Somer McKibbin of Omaha, Neb., sister of the groom. Dusty Potter of Brookhaven, brother of the groom, will serve as best man. Groomsman will be Todd Graf of Omaha, Neb.
Anna Katherine Martin and Tyler Patrick Martin, niece and nephew of the bride, will serve as the flower girl and ring bearer.
The couple will exchange vows in a 5:30 p.m. outdoor ceremony on Saturday, March 16, 2013, with Rev. Jon Martin performing the double-ring ceremony. The wedding and reception will be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James T. Shipp Jr., uncle and aunt of the bride. All relatives and friends are invited to attend the wedding and reception.

 

Time for an Easter book

The bride elect is the granddaughter of Ida Martin and the late Raiford Martin of Bentonia and John “Hot” and Jean Johnson of Yazoo City.
Miss Martin is a 2006 graduate of Tri-County Academy and currently attends Mississippi College, where she is earning a business degree.  She is a bank teller at M&F Bank.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of A.M. and the late Gladys McMaster and the late Betty Faye Powell.
The couple will exchange wedding vows on March 23, 2013 at 5 p.m. on The Ridge at Parkview Church of God.
Rev. Emmerson Tedder will officiate the double ring ceremony.  
Reception will follow at the Yazoo Country Club.
All friends and relatives are invited to attend.
