Miss Amanda Alexander and Kenneth JohnsonMr. Don Alexander of Bentonia and Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Fife of Richland are happy to announce the upcoming wedding of their daughter Amanda Nell Alexander to Kenneth Cole Johnson of Lexington.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Shirley Alexander and the late Houston B. Alexander and Viven and Margaret Douglas all of Bentonia.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Neicy Albin Johnson of Lexington. Cole is also the son of the late Dale Johnson.
He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James Albin of Goodman and Mrs. Mary Ann Johnson and the late Aubrey Johnson Sr. of Lexington.
Amanda is a graduate from Richland High School and Hinds Community College. She is currently employed as a dental assistant with Gluckstadt Dental Clinic.
Cole is a graduate from Central Holmes Christian School and Holmes Community College. He is currently employed as a lineman with B & B Electric Utility.
The couple will exchange vows in a garden wedding at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Downing of Richland on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 4p.m.
All friends and relatives are invited to attend the wedding and reception immediately following the ceremony.

From the pages of Consuellia Renee Diggs-Michael’s new book, Movin’ Mountains The Journey Is More Important Than The Destination, readers will explore the events that molded her faith and shaped her into a truly unique woman of God.
A book signing will be held at Ricks Memorial Library on April 8 from 10 a.m. until noon.
The contents of the book reflect a spirit of thanksgiving as Michael shares her inner most reflections on life. It is the author’s intention to encourage others that with the help of Jesus Christ anything is possible.
“I believe that this book serves a purpose, in the midst of all my ‘doing’ God has used my life as a testimony that I hope will continue to minister to others,” Diggs-Michael said.
Walk with her along this journal through her life, the cause and effort of the decisions she chose to make along the way, the importance of surrender, letting go of negative situations, loving yourself and embracing your future one day at a time.

Miss Angelia Hogue and Mark LangfordJohn and Helen Hogue of Yazoo City are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Angelia Leigh Hogue, to Christopher Mark Langford, son of Randy and Rhonda Langford of Lexington.
The bride elect is the granddaughter of Rowena Drinkwater and the late Fred Drinkwater of Clinton. She is also the granddaughter of Earline Hogue and the late Alfred Hogue of Yazoo City.
Miss Hogue attended Benton Academy. She is currently attending the Mississippi University for Women, where she is pursuing a Degree of Nursing.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of William and Madelyn Spell, along with Al and Willie Mae Langford, both of Lexington.
Mr. Langford attended Benton Academy and Mississippi State University, where he earned a Degree in Industrial Technology. He is currently a Supervisor at Anel Corporation in Winona.
The couple will exchange wedding vows on May 25, 2013 at Midway United Methodist Church at 5:30 p.m.  Rev. Will Wilkerson will officiate their double- ring ceremony.  
A reception will follow at Benton Country Club, where all friends and relatives are welcome to attend.

Mr. and Mrs. Brent Chaney are proud to announce the birth of their son, Christopher Benjamin Chaney, on February 4, 2013 at River Oaks Baby Suites in Flowood.  
Christopher weighed seven pounds, two ounces.
Mrs. Chaney is the former Carrie Reeves of Holly Bluff.  
Maternal grandparents are Henry and Ann Reeves of Holly Bluff.  
Paternal grandparents are John and Sherry Chaney of Delta City.
Also welcoming the arrival of Christopher is his big sister, Sherrill Ann Chaney.
