Miss Hodges to wed Hilliard on May 4

Miss Morgan Hodges and Chase HilliardMiss Morgan Hodges and Chase HilliardMr. and Mrs. Larry Dwight Hodges of Canton announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Morgan Marie Hodges, to Chase Wynne Hilliard, son of Ms. Kate McCarty Hilliard of Madison and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hilliard of Houston, Texas.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dalton Bea Hearst Sr. of Canton, formerly of Benton and Mrs. Louise Evans Hodges and the late Mr. Rudolph Troy Hodges of Vaiden.
Miss Hodges is a 2009 graduate of Madison Central High School. She attended Mississippi State University and is currently pursuing an Associate Degree of Nursing from Hinds Community College.  She is employed with New Summit School of Jackson.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Dr. and Mrs. Philips McCarty of Clinton and Mr. and Mrs. Carl E. Hilliard of Meridian.
Mr. Hilliard is a 2009 graduate of Tri-County Academy.  He attended Mississippi State University and is an alumni of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. He is currently employed as a Trainor with Mississippi Community Education Center of Madison.
The couple will exchange vows at 6 o’clock in the evening on May 4, 2013 at Plantation Commons in Madison.  
Dr. Kevin Cooper, pastor of First Baptist Church of Jackson Madison Campus, will officiate the double ring ceremony. A reception will follow at Plantation Commons.

 

Miss Alexander to wed Johnson

Miss Amanda Alexander and Kenneth JohnsonMiss Amanda Alexander and Kenneth JohnsonMr. Don Alexander of Bentonia and Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Fife of Richland are happy to announce the upcoming wedding of their daughter Amanda Nell Alexander to Kenneth Cole Johnson of Lexington.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Shirley Alexander and the late Houston B. Alexander and Viven and Margaret Douglas all of Bentonia.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Neicy Albin Johnson of Lexington. Cole is also the son of the late Dale Johnson.
He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James Albin of Goodman and Mrs. Mary Ann Johnson and the late Aubrey Johnson Sr. of Lexington.
Amanda is a graduate from Richland High School and Hinds Community College. She is currently employed as a dental assistant with Gluckstadt Dental Clinic.
Cole is a graduate from Central Holmes Christian School and Holmes Community College. He is currently employed as a lineman with B & B Electric Utility.
The couple will exchange vows in a garden wedding at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Downing of Richland on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 4p.m.
All friends and relatives are invited to attend the wedding and reception immediately following the ceremony.


 

Paislee Bradshaw debuts

Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Bradshaw are proud to announce the birth of their daughter, Paislee Brooke Bradshaw, on Mar. 25, 2013, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.
Paislee weighed six pounds, eight ounces.
Maternal grandparents are Rose Marie Hill and Thomas Logan Hill.  
Paternal grandparents are James Bradshaw and Garlina Bradshaw.
Also welcoming Paislee is her big sister, Paige Bradshaw.

 

Thomas turns 2

ThomasThomasKholten Arnell Thomas, son of Duane and Dorothy Thomas of Yazoo City, celebrated his second birthday on March 8.
He celebrated his birthday with a series of celebrations beginning on Feb. 23, along with his Grandpaw. He ate a Strawberry Shortcake and Mickey Mouse Cake with his Grandparents in Coffeeville.
On March 8, he had Rainbow Cupcakes with his daycare friends in Yazoo City. On March 24, he had Sprinkle Cupcakes with his Grandparents in Vicksburg
Kholten is the grandson of George and Rosie Thomas of Vicksburg, Johnnie and Dora Reed of Coffeeville, the late Dorothy M. Lawson of Coffeeville and the late Hugh P. Larks of Grenada.
Also joining in the celebration was his brother Jalen Thomas.

 

Miss Harden to wed Callihan on April 27

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. James Max Barnett Jr. and the late Mrs. Birdie Barnett of Cary, Uncle Sammy Price of Kennett, Mo. and the late Norma Jean Price, and the late Mr. and Mrs. H.A. Harden of Rolling Fork.
She is a 2005 honors graduate of Sharkey-Issaquena Academy in Rolling Fork. She graduated from Delta State University in December 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. While at DSU, she was a member of the Kappa Delta sorority.
Alison has been employed at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson as a Registered Nurse for two years.
The prospective groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Earl (Buddy) Callihan of Yazoo City.
His grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Earl Cotton of Yazoo City, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Emmit Callihan of Yazoo City.
He is a 2006 graduate of Manchester Academy, and a 2009 graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Scotty has been employed at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson as a Registered Nurse for three years.
The couple will exchange vows on Saturday, April 27, at No Mistake Plantation Chapel in Satartia.
