Miss Alison Harden and Edward CallihanMs. Terri Barnett Harden of Rolling Fork and Mr. Ricky Harden of Greenville announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Alison LeAnn Harden, to Mr. Edward Scott Callihan of Gluckstdat.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. James Max Barnett Jr. and the late Mrs. Birdie Barnett of Cary, Uncle Sammy Price of Kennett, Mo. and the late Norma Jean Price, and the late Mr. and Mrs. H.A. Harden of Rolling Fork.
She is a 2005 honors graduate of Sharkey-Issaquena Academy in Rolling Fork. She graduated from Delta State University in December 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. While at DSU, she was a member of the Kappa Delta sorority.
Alison has been employed at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson as a Registered Nurse for two years.
The prospective groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Earl (Buddy) Callihan of Yazoo City.
His grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Earl Cotton of Yazoo City, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Emmit Callihan of Yazoo City.
He is a 2006 graduate of Manchester Academy, and a 2009 graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Scotty has been employed at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson as a Registered Nurse for three years.
The couple will exchange vows on Saturday, April 27, at No Mistake Plantation Chapel in Satartia.

Miss Meagan Hancock and Christopher MooreTommy and Mary Hancock of Bentonia are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Meagan Elizabeth Hancock, to Stephen Christopher Moore, son of Fred and Peggy Moore of Benton.
The bride elect is the granddaughter of Alice Worthy of Bentonia and the late Buddy Worthy of Yazoo City, and Edna Hancock and the late Wayne Hancock, both of Bentonia.
Miss Hancock is a Tri-County Academy and Hinds Community College graduate. She earned an Associates Degree in Applied Science while at Hinds. She is currently a Veterinary Technician at the Yazoo City Animal Hospital.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. H.R. Crowder, Jr. of Yazoo City, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Enos Moore of Grenada.
Mr. Moore attended Yazoo City High School and Benton Academy, and earned a Bachelors Degree in Aviation Management at Delta State University. He is currently a Correctional Officer at FCC Yazoo City.
The couple will exchange vows Apr. 27, 2013 at 4 o’clock in the afternoon at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Yazoo City.  Father P.J. Curley will officiate the double ring ceremony.  
A reception will follow in the Parish Hall of St. Mary’s.  
Friends and relatives of the bride and groom are welcome to attend.

Miss Amanda Alexander and Kenneth JohnsonMr. Don Alexander of Bentonia and Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Fife of Richland are happy to announce the upcoming wedding of their daughter Amanda Nell Alexander to Kenneth Cole Johnson of Lexington.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Shirley Alexander and the late Houston B. Alexander and Viven and Margaret Douglas all of Bentonia.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Neicy Albin Johnson of Lexington. Cole is also the son of the late Dale Johnson.
He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James Albin of Goodman and Mrs. Mary Ann Johnson and the late Aubrey Johnson Sr. of Lexington.
Amanda is a graduate from Richland High School and Hinds Community College. She is currently employed as a dental assistant with Gluckstadt Dental Clinic.
Cole is a graduate from Central Holmes Christian School and Holmes Community College. He is currently employed as a lineman with B & B Electric Utility.
The couple will exchange vows in a garden wedding at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Downing of Richland on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 4p.m.

From the pages of Consuellia Renee Diggs-Michael’s new book, Movin’ Mountains The Journey Is More Important Than The Destination, readers will explore the events that molded her faith and shaped her into a truly unique woman of God.
A book signing will be held at Ricks Memorial Library on April 8 from 10 a.m. until noon.
The contents of the book reflect a spirit of thanksgiving as Michael shares her inner most reflections on life. It is the author’s intention to encourage others that with the help of Jesus Christ anything is possible.
“I believe that this book serves a purpose, in the midst of all my ‘doing’ God has used my life as a testimony that I hope will continue to minister to others,” Diggs-Michael said.
Walk with her along this journal through her life, the cause and effort of the decisions she chose to make along the way, the importance of surrender, letting go of negative situations, loving yourself and embracing your future one day at a time.
