Ellis turns 5

EllisEllisAnthony Ellis Jr., son of Latoya Gaston and Anthony Ellis, celebrated his fifth birthday on May 23, 2013.
He is the grandson of Linda Taylor, Willie Young and Floyd Gaston. He is also the grandson of Dorothy and Larry White.
He celebrated with a birthday party at Chuckee Cheese and a three-day stay at a Biloxi beach.

The new officers for Yazoo Chapter National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution 2013-2016 were installed at the April 18, 2013 chapter meeting held in the home of JoDale Merrill.  
Janet Looney Whittington, MSSDAR State Regent, conducted the Installation Service.
Wendy Cartwright is Yazoo Chapter’s new Regent. She has previously been Chapter Regent for Cherokee Rose Chapter in Hazelhurst, MSSDAR State Genealogical Library Chairman, MSSDAR State Librarian, Member Rosalie Governing Board, Cameo Society President, and numerous other offices and chairmanships.

Miss Pace to wed Lovett

Miss Angela Megan PaceMiss Angela Megan PaceMr. and Mrs. Lanny Ray Pace of Brandon announce the engagement of their daughter, Angela Megan Pace, to Alan Dale Lovett, son of Mr. Dale Alan Lovett of Olney, Texas and Ms. Charlotte Leigh Lovett of Brandon.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Thomas Campbell Guion of Yazoo City and the late Mr. Guion and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Ray Pace of Kossuth.
The bridegroom is the grandson of Mrs. Lewis Henry White Jr. and the late Mr. White of Brandon and Mrs. Robert Earl Lovett and the late Dr. Lovett of Olney, Texas.
Miss Pace is a 2003 graduate of Northwest Rankin High School. She graduated with a bachelor degree in liberal arts from the University of Mississippi, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority.
Miss Pace is a television reporter with the ABC affiliate 16 WAPT in Jackson.
Mr. Lovett is a 2003 graduate of Northwest Rankin High School. He graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from Mississippi State University in 2007.
He received his master in environmental management and a juris doctor from Duke University in May, where he served as the managing editor of the Duke Environmental Law and Policy Forum. In August Mr. Lovett will begin a clerkship on the 11th Circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals.
The couple will exchange vows on June 1 at Galloway United Methodist Church with a reception to follow at The South. They will make their home in Jacksonville, Fla.
