Miss Moulder to wed Echols on Oct. 20

Miss Brittany Moulder and Sean EcholsMiss Brittany Moulder and Sean EcholsDennis and Brenda Moulder  announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Brittany Corley Moulder, to Patrick Sean Echols, son of the late Larry and Judy Echols.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Kieffer of Shalimar, Fla., Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Corley Jr. of Bailey, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Patterson of Yazoo City, Mrs. Carolyn Moulder of Pearl and the late John Moulder.
She is a graduate of Terry High School. She is employed as a teller at BankPlus.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mrs. Lelar Cox of Blackhawk.
He is a graduate of Benton Academy. He is employed as a deputy with the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Department.
The couple will be married on October 20, 2012 at 4 p.m. in Sparta, Mo.

 

Anderson graduates Officer Candidate School

2LT Cnatrell Anderson graduates Officer Candidate School first in class.  OCS is a rigorous training program, which evaluates an individual’s performance to become a leader.  Training was held at the Alabama Military Academy in Fort McClellan, Alabama from June through August.  Anderson also received an award for academic Excellence. Maggie Moulder debuts

MoulderMoulderMr. and Mrs. Dan Moulder of Clinton are proud to announce the birth of their daughter, Maggie James on June 22, 2012.  Maggie weighed seven pounds and 11 ounces and 19 inches long.  Mrs. Moulder is the former Ashlea McGuire of Clinton.  
Maternal grandparents are Jimmy and Robin McGuire of Clinton.
Paternal grandparents are Dennis and Brenda Moulder of Benton.  
Also welcoming the new arrival are big brother Levi, aunt Brittany Moulder and great grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy McGuire of Clinton, Mr. and Mrs. Don Kieffer of Shalimar, FL; Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Corley of Bailey; Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Patterson of Yazoo City and Mrs. Carolyn Moulder.  

 

Chasiti Washington turns 3

Chasiti Ma’Liyah Washington, daughter of Adrianna Washington of Benton and Chad Rutledge of Yazoo City, celebrated her third birthday on June 11.
She celebrated her birthday with a Hello Kitty theme on June 10 at the Federal Correctional Complex Training Center.
She is the granddaughter of Fannie Washington of Benton, Harry Rutledge of Yazoo City and the late Earlene Westbrook Rutledge.
She was happy to celebrate her birthday with family and friends.


 

Yazoo County students participate in summer gifted studies program

Two students from Yazoo County participated in the Summer Gifted Studies Program at The University of Southern Mississippi on June 17-22 on the Hattiesburg campus.
It is presented by the Frances Karnes Center for Gifted Studies.
Local students included:
• Shakeem Sawyer, a student at Linwood Elementary, is the son of Carolyn Anderson and Leroy Sawyer.
• Tyler Kincaid, a student at Woolfolk Middle School, is the son of Latasha Hayes and Marcus Kincaid.
The Summer Gifted Studies Program is designed to enhance cognitive, affective and psychomotor abilities of gifted students through planned enrichment/acceleration activities. Emphasis is placed on individual participation in areas that provide in-depth analysis of specific topics of interest. It also includes opportunities to participate in leisure and cultural activities with other gifted youth.
