Yazoo City Fire Department awarded grant

Thanks to three grants worth about $2 million, the State Fire Marshal’s office recently awarded a portion to the Yazoo City Fire Department to install fire detectors. Special designed detectors for the blind and deaf will also be installed by the Yazoo firemen. Hiram Manasco debuts

Chris and Jade Manasco are proud to announce the birth of their son, Hiram Knox Manasco, on July 13, 2012 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.
Hiram weighed eight pounds, seven ounces and measured 20 inches long.  
Also welcoming the new arrival are his sisters Nora Lynn and Isabella.

 

Kylie Elise Pyron debuts

Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Pyron are proud to announce the birth of their daughter, Kylie Elise Pyron, on June 29, 2012 at Womans Hospital in Flowood.  
Kylie weighed six pounds, nine ounces and measured 19 inches long.  
Mrs. Pyron is the former Crystal Williams of Yazoo City.
Maternal grandparents are Harvey and Charlene Williams of Yazoo City.
Paternal grandparents are Harold Pyron and the late Patricia Pyron of Yazoo City.
Great grandparents are Harvey Sr. and Lucille Williams and Sherrill Robertson of Yazoo City and Mary Brite of Raymond.  
Also welcoming the new arrival are her big sisters Gracie Mae and Lucie Anne and her big brother Shane.  


 

Washington turns 7

WashingtonWashingtonShanyla M. Washington, daughter of Keyshia Garrett, celebrated her seventh birthday with a party at Geyser Falls Water Park in Philadelphia.
Her family and friends joined her with her birthday celebration.
Shanyla is the granddaughter of Mary Garrett. 

 

Haymer earns Cooley Law School honor

Erica S. Haymer, of Lexington, made the Dean’s List during the winter term at the Thomas M. Cooley Law School.  
She is a graduate of Mississippi Valley State University.  
Her parents are Robert and Flora Shaffer and James Thomas.  
Erica is also the mother of Joshua Haymer.
Founded in 1972, Cooley Law School has awarded more than 16,000 graduates with the practical skills necessary for a seamless transition from academia to the real world. The school offers its juris doctor program, joint degree programs and master of laws programs three times a year with enrollment in January.
