Special to The Herald

Yazoo Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution members Priscilla Harper and JoAnne Collins were hostesses during Natchez Pilgrimage at Rosalie Mansion on March 16.
Rosalie Mansion was built by Peter Little in 1923 and remained in his family until the Wilson Family purchased it in 1857. Then in 1938 the Mississippi Society of the DAR bought Rosalie.
It continues to preserve and operate this Historic Home, which is on the National Register.
Rosalie is open 365 days a year for visitors to see its magnificent furnishings and hear its history. There are also the Bicentennial Garden and Gazebo with River Views and the Cemetery for the reinterred French Colonials.
Priscilla Harper, Yazoo chapter vice-regent, served in the back parlor of the house, which is called the music room. JoAnne Collins, Yazoo chapter regent, served in the dining room.
The Pilgrimage runs through April 9, 2013 so plan a visit to Natchez to see all the lovely historic homes.
