Four Seasons Garden Club holds first meeting

The Four Seasons Garden Club met in the home of Jeanne Santmyer for the first meeting of the year.
Co-hostesses were Ava Hale and Molly McNair.
The president Jeanne Santmyer welcomed Betty Kyle as a new member.
Several announcements were also shared with the club. The Landscape Design Symposium will be at Mississippi State University on Oct. 17. Linda McDonald said she will be attending the Fall District Meeting of the River Road District. The Garden Club of Jackson will have a flower show at the Mississippi Museum of Art on Oct. 12-13. Four Seasons Garden Club and Lintonia Garden Club will host the Spring District meeting on June 13.
Nancy Williams introduced Nettie Byrd, who gave a design program. She used material only found in her yard.
It was a great program since it was show and tell.

 

Miss Webb and Clark to exchange vows

Miss Webb is the granddaughter of Mrs. Robert Baskerville Hardy and the late Lt. Col. Robert Baskerville Hardy of Columbus and Mr. and Mrs. Ted Johnson Webb of Madison.
Mr. Clark is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Grant Clark  Sr. of Germantown, Tenn. He is the grandson of Mrs. Amy Coffey Spencer and the late Mr. Boyd Gregory Coffey of Decatur, Ala and Mrs. Columbus Jay Clark and the late Mr. Columbus Jay Clark of Memphis, Tenn.
Miss Webb is a 2004 graduate of Hattiesburg High School. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing Communications from the University of Mississippi. Miss Webb works as a consultant in sales, marketing and social media in Nashville, Tenn.
Mr. Clark is a 2002 graduate of Houston High School in Germantown, Tenn. He received his Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration from the University of Alabama. Mr. Clark is employed as a manufacturer's representative with Mid America Marketing in Nashville.
The couple will exchange wedding vows at 6:30 in the evening on December 8th at Main Street United Methodist Church in Hattiesburg.
A reception will follow at The Venue at The Bakery Building in Hattiesburg.

 

Miss Parker to wed Hurt on Oct. 12

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Rev. Max and Mrs. Martha Bobbitt from Millport, Ala., and the late Robert and the late Jimmie Lou Parker from Berry, Ala.
Miss Parker graduated from South Lamar High School in Fayette, Ala. and attended  Bevill State Community College.
She is employed at Fayette Pharmacy.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Verner and Norma Hurt of Starkville, Glenda Knight Watts of Cullman Ala. and the late Obie Knight and the late Bill Watts.
He graduated from Tri- County High School in Flora and attended Holmes Community College.
He is employed at Steel Dust Recycling in Millport, Ala.
The couple will be married on Friday, October 12 at 6:00 p.m. at Timber Valley Lodge in Fayette, Ala. Rev. Max Bobbitt, grandfather of the bride, will officiate the double ring ceremony.
A reception will follow at Timber Valley Lodge, Fayette, Ala.

 

Anayia Jackson turns 4

She is celebrating her birthday with a Minnie Mouse party.
She is the granddaughter of Maxine Jackson and the great granddaughter of Allean Jackson.

 

Miss Aldridge to wed Ashley on Oct. 6

The bride-elect is the daughter of Patricia and the late John “B.A.” Aldridge of Bentonia.
Miss Aldridge is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Garnett Harris of Brandon and Ms. Shelby Littlejohn of Yazoo City.
She attended Benton Academy and earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Mississippi University for Women.
She is a registered nurse in the emergency room at King’s Daughters Hospital.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Candace Ashley of Yazoo City and Mr. and Mrs. David Ashley of Brandon.
He is the grandson of Dorothy Ashley of Yazoo City, the late D.L. Ashley Sr., the late R.E. Bennett of Fruitdale, Ala. and the late Wauneta Carpenter of Lucedale.
He attended Manchester Academy and earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Mississippi State University.
He is a civil engineer with the Mississippi Department of Transportation.
Rev. David Bryant, pastor of First Baptist Church in Yazoo City, will officiate the double ring ceremony.
A reception will follow at the Jiggett House.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend.
After their honeymoon, the couple will reside in Yazoo City.
