Annual Lights of Love campaign underway

Special to The Herald

Members of the King’s Daughters Hospital Auxiliary Volunteers remind the community that the annual Lights of Love campaign is underway in Yazoo County during the month of December.
The yearly event is conducted to raise funds for the purchase of medical equipment, supplies and other needed items at the local King’s Daughters Hospital.
Again this year, memorial and honor boards will be located on the hospital grounds. For a minimum contribution of $5, a name will be written on the appropriate board, called the Book of Remembrance.
If desired, a gift notification card will be sent to the person honored or to the family of the deceased person being remembered.
Contributions to the Lights of Love can be mailed to the chairman, Linda Jenkins, at 720 N. Sunset Dr., Yazoo City, MS 39194, or left at the Information window at the hospital.
The campaign, coordinated by the Auxiliary Volunteers, has helped raise thousands of dollars for the purchase of equipment and supplies for our community’s only hospital.
“Every penny collected through Lights of Love benefits the citizens of our community,” Jenkins said. “The generous donations from our friends and supporters are returned to the community through upgrades to our hospital.”
