Local students graduate from Hinds CC

Hinds Community College graduated more than 700 students in the four annual fall ceremonies that took place on the Raymond Campus on Dec. 13 and 14.
The college granted associate in arts (AA) degrees, associate in applied science (AAS) degrees, career certificates (CC), technical certificates (TC) and vocational certificates (VC).

Burdine and Sanders make President’s List

The President's List for the 2012 fall semester at Northwest Mississippi Community College has been released by college officials. Area students receiving this honor are:
Sarah Burdine of Bentonia
Lauren Sanders of Bentonia
Those students completing 12 or more semester hours with a grade point average of 3.75 or better in a four-point system are on the President's List. The Dean's List includes students completing a minimum of 12 semester hours with a 3.50 to 3.74 average. Named to the Vocational Honors List are students who have shown outstanding progress in their chosen field.

 

Spreading Christmas Cheer

The Ladies of The Divine Divas Social Club visited with and delivered personal care items to residents of Oasis Health and Rehab during the Christmas Holidays as part of their community service project.
