Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Williams weds

Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan WilliamsMr. and Mrs. Jonathan WilliamsMelia Susan Tanner and Jonathan Michael Williams exchanged vows on December 28, 2012 at Ashton Gardens in Houston, Texas.
The bride is the daughter of Kylan and Beverly Tanner of Kingswood, Texas.
She is the granddaughter of Jesse Ballard of Dothan, Ala.
Other relatives include her brothers Jordan and Zach Tanner, sister Seleya Tanner, uncles and aunts Brenda Snell and Robert Ballard, both of Dotham, Ala., Justin and Sally Tanner of Bountiful, Utah, and Clelen and Carol Tanner of Danville, Cali.
The bride currently attends Texas Tech University.
The groom is the son of Gregory and Beverly Tanner of Kingswood, Texas.
He is the grandson of Roy and LouWanna Brown of Georgetown, Texas, Ed and Bonnie Carter of Houston, Texas and Harvey and Lucille Williams of Yazoo City.
John Fossum, son of astronaut Mike Fossum who recently returned from a two-month stay on the Russian and United States of America space station, served as Best Man.

 

Tinsley Kay Selby born on Dec. 21

Selby Selby Adam and Ashley Selby of Baytown, Texas announce the birth of their daughter, Tinsley Kay Selby on December 21, 2012.
She weighed seven pounds, nine ounces and measured 19 ¾ inches long.  
Maternal grandparents are Jack and Donna Bridgers of Yazoo City and Tim and Cindy Luby of Brandon.
Maternal great grandparents are Mary Archer of Cruger, Helen Luby of Benton and Wallace and Berney Davis of Yazoo City.
Paternal grandparents are Halbert Selby and the late Dorthy Selby of Bentonia.  
Also welcoming the new arrival are brother Mabry and sisters Zoe Grace and Hallie Pate.
The couple was formally of Yazoo City.

 

Miss Hattaway to wed Windham

Miss Mandy Nicole HattawayMiss Mandy Nicole HattawayMs. Sheila Dianne French of Ridgeland and Mr. Wilson Hearn Harvey of Yazoo City  announce the engagement of their daughter, Mandy Nicole Hattaway, to Thomas Grey Windham, son of Mrs. Glen Dean Windham and the late Mr. Windham of Rolling Fork.  
The bride-elect is the daughter of the late Rouie Spencer Hattaway Jr. of Lake Providence, La., the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Cecil French of Lake Providence, La., Mrs. Rouie Spencer Hattaway Sr. and the late Mr. Hattaway of Lake Providence, La., and Mrs. Merrill Clyde Winstead and the late Mr. Winstead of Lexington.   
The prospective bride-groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Pearson Windham of Mayersville and Mrs. William Byron Mayo of Rolling Fork and the late Mr. Mayo.
Miss Hattaway is a 1997 graduate of Manchester Academy in Yazoo City and a 2001 graduate of The University of Mississippi, where she received a bachelor’s degree in Family Consumer Sciences.  She was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority.  
Miss Hattaway received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Mississippi in 2005 and finished with her Master of Science in Nursing at The Mississippi University for Women in 2011. She is now a Family Nurse Practitioner at Jackson Rural Health Clinic in Rolling Fork.  
Mr. Windham is a 1998 graduate of Sharkey Issaquena Academy in Rolling Fork.  He earned his Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics from Mississippi State University in 2002. He was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. He is now the owner and operator of Willette Plantation Inc., a farming operation in Issaquena County.  
The couple will exchange wedding vows February 16 at 6 p.m. at Galloway Memorial United Methodist Church in Jackson with a reception to follow at Duling Hall in Fondren.

Paternal great grandparents are Nelly Green and Benny (Alice) Green and Annie (L.C.) Woodard.  
Helping Carlei celebrate are big sister Yaz’Lynn Smith who is also turning two years old, big brothers Melvin Baker III and McKendric Davis and other relatives and friends.
