The Yazoo City High School tennis team is off to a rough start for the 2013 season dropping their first three matches to Greenwood, Pearl and Ridgeland. One bright spot for the Indians has been the play of both the No.1 and No. 2 girls doubles teams.
Aliesha Hudson and Jonquil Dent are 3-0 in No. 1 Girls Doubles play after posting a 6-1, 6-1 win over Greenwood’s Kenisha Sanders and Patrece Otero, a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Pearl’s Candace Jackson and Carlee Comans and a gritty 5-7, 10-2, 10-3 victory over Jerra Harris and Kaelyn Edwards of Ridgeland.
