ANNIE LANCASTER

Annie McMillan Lancaster, 95, died Friday, Feb. 18, 2011 at the Martha Coker Green Houses.
Funeral services were Sunday at the Stricklin-King Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jon Vanlandingham officiating. Burial followed at Flora City Cemetery.
Mrs. Lancaster was born Jan. 3, 1916 in Rankin County to Levi and Minnie Wooten McMillan. She was a homemaker and a member of Central Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, T.J. Lancaster; two sons, Thomas J. Lancaster and Allen Ray Lancaster; a daughter, Dorothy Ann Douglas; three sisters; and two brothers.
Survivors include a daughter, Nell Lancaster Neely of Bentonia; a son, Mark Ellis Lancaster of Flora; two brothers, Bobby McMillan of Byram and J.B. McMillan of Pearl; 10 grandchildren; and numerous great-great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were Michael Neely Jr., Edward Lee Beckham, Tommy Ray Lancaster, Clint Ellison Lancaster, Larry Eugene Douglas and Jerry Burton.

BUDDY WORTHY

James Frank "Buddy" Worthy, Jr., 69, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011 at King's Daughters Hospital.
Funeral services were Monday at the Stricklin-King Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ray Woods officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Mr. Worthy was born Sept. 16, 1941 in Yazoo County to James F. and Mary Worthy. He was a retired truck driver and a member of Oil City Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a brother; Otto Worthy; and a sister, Jackie Ainsworth.
Survivors include his wife, Betty of Yazoo City; daughters, Mary Eunice Hancock and Alicia Gay Worthy; sons, Billy Worthy and Al Worthy, all of Bentonia; stepsons, Charles Mitchell and Shane Manor, both of Yazoo City; stepdaughter, Vicki Potter of Nashville, Tenn.; 23 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren; brother; Tom Worthy of Magee; sisters, Frances Dozier, Sally Williams and Carrie Creel, all of Bentonia.
Serving as pallbearers were Kevin Manor, Joey Hancock, Little Billy Worthy, Shawn Manor, Cody Worthy and Kalahan Potter.
Honorary pallbearers were Will Manor, Lynn Knight, Kendall Parker, Tyler Hamil, Mathew Foster and George “Rooster” Martin.

SALLIE MOODY

Sally Speairs Moody, 85, died Monday, Feb. 21, 2011 at King’s Daughters Hospital.
Visitation is Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at Stricklin-King Funeral Home.
Funeral services are Friday at the Stricklin-King Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Gilbert officiating. Burial will follow at Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery at 12956 Highway 490 East in Louisville.
Mrs. Moody was born Dec. 14, 1925 in Yazoo County to Harris A Speairs Sr. and Rebecca Pettigrew Speairs. She was a homemaker and a member of Second Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest A. Moody; a brother, Harris Speairs Jr.; and a sister, Rebecca Speairs.
Survivors include two daughters, Diane Moody of Yazoo City and Sally Goodwill (Todd) of Winter Haven, Fla.; two sisters, Nora Gainey of Satartia and Josephine S. Lee of Bentonia; two grandchildren, Todd Stamey of Memphis, Tenn. and Brian Stamey of Clearwater, Fla.; two great-grandchildren; three nieces, one nephew and great-nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers are Wayne Morrison, Hank Remington, Rob Coker, Jamie Peaster, Bill Simmons and Richie Peaster.
Honorary pallbearers are Sonny Peaster, Bob Cato and Tommy Peaster.
