JAMES CASTON

James Doc Caston, 52, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2011 at King’s Daughters Hospital.
Funeral services were Friday  at Center Ridge Cemetery with Rev. Richard Jennings officiating. Burial followed under the direction of Stricklin-King Funeral Home.
Mr. Caston was born Feb. 3, 1958 in Rolling Fork to James Doc Caston and Donna Mae Michaelson Caston. He was a member of Center Ridge Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, James Caston of Nevada, Jacob Logan of Yazoo City and Kelly Caston of Nevada; a daughter, Wendy Burgess of Yazoo City; three brothers, Travis Caston of Yazoo City, John Caston of Bakersfield, Calif. and Michael Caston of Satartia; two sisters, Janice Blanton of Yazoo City and Alexis Swoope of Belzoni; and a special friend, Tammy Logan.

GRACE HARPOLE

Grace Kirk Harpole, 82, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011 at Claiborne County Nursing Home in Port Gibson.
Funeral services were Saturday at Concord Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Arender officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery under the direction of Stricklin-King Funeral Home.
Mrs. Harpole was born April 23, 1928 in Yazoo County to A.W. and Lena M. Perry Kirk. She was a retired secretary for Bentonia-Gibbs School and a member of Concord Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur W. Harpole Sr.
Survivors include her sons, Wilbur W. “Sonny” Harpole (Martha) of Port Gibson and Kirk M. Harpole (Pam) of Madison; a brother, William T. Kirk of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were Michael Bates, Bill McCullough, Randy McCormack, Bill Davis, Billy Ray Harber and Herbie Kirk.

JUNIOR PARSON

Junior Lee Parson, 41, died Monday, Jan. 31, 2011.
Funeral services were Saturday at Baptist Grove M.B. Church with Rev. Willie Binder officiating. Burial followed at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Moorhead under the direction of Scott Memorial Funeral Home.
Mr. Parson was born Aug. 12, 1969 in Sunflower County to the late Eugene Williams Sr. and Dessie Lee Parson. He was a member of Peter Rock Church of God in Christ.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Willie Lee Parson and Jessie Parson.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Parson; daughter, Janiya Parson of Indianola; four sisters, Mary (Arthur) of Sunflower, Betty Ross (Ricky) of Blain; Temessa Parson (Johnny) of Moorhead and Margaret Liddell of Doddsville; four brother, Davie Parson (Minnie), Lacandrick Parson (Jackie) and Jerome Parson (Pat), all of Moorhead and Eugene Williams Jr. of Milwaukee; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Serving as pallbearers were Lacandrick Parson, Jerome Parson, Ricky Ross Sr., Davie Parson, Tyrone Parson and Ricky Ross Jr.
