The Lady Panthers moved on to the next round of the 4A Region 3 tournament after knocking down Amanda Elzy for the third time this season, 54-37. The two teams had met a week earlier to close out the regular season.

J.J. McClain scored the game’s first points and never led again as the Yazoo County Panthers bested the Mustangs Tuesday 50-36.
The Panthers rallied behind a 12-3 run to get the ball rolling in the game and by the half, was clinging to a nine point advantage.
