HILLARY IVERS Jr.
Hillary Taylor Ivers, Jr., 73, died Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at the Kings Daughters Hospital in Yazoo City.
Graveside services were Thursday at the Short Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Sebrell Funeral Home in Ridgeland assisted with arrangements.
Mr. Ivers was born on January 25, 1937, the son of the late Hillary and Mable Ivers. A lifelong resident of Yazoo City, he served his country as a member of the US. Air Force from 1959 to 1961. Mr. Ivers worked as a truck driver before accepting a position with KLLM as a radio dispatcher. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Yazoo City.
Mr. Ivers enjoyed hunting, fishing and cherished spending time with his grandchildren.  He will be remembered as a loving husband, a beloved father and a doting grandfather.
Survivors include: his wife Peggie J. Ivers; daughter, Christy Ivers, son, Tee Ivers, son, Ken Ivers all of Yazoo City; 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, sister, Julie Ivers Coleman of Benton and numerous nieces and nephews.

WAYNE VANCLEAVE
Wayne Vancleave, 63, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011 at Baptist Hospital in Jackson.
Funeral services were Wednesday at the Stricklin-King Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at the Vancleave Family Cemetery.
Mr. Vancleave was born July 28, 1947 in Yazoo County to John Thomas Vancleave and Linda Cresswell Vancleave. He was the owner of South Central Glass in Yazoo City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include three daughters, Gina Mitchell (James) of Vicksburg, Shondell McConnell of Yazoo City and Tanya Vancleave of Yazoo City; two sons, Patrick Eldridge of Yazoo City and Wayne Patrick Vancleave Jr.; four sisters, Virginia Bolling of Atlanta, Ga., Patricia Ketchum of San Antonio, Texas, Sharon McManaway of Abilene, Texas and Gayle Boutwell of Yazoo City; two brothers, Gene Vancleave and Nate Vancleave, both of Yazoo City; and eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are A.G. Helton, Andy Bridges, John Vancleave, Kevin Helton, Stephen Boutwell and William C. Boutwell.

Paul K Waldrop Sr.
Paul K Waldrop, Sr.  84, died on Wednesday, Ja. 12, 2011 at Kings Daughters Hospital.  
Funeral services were  Friday at Stricklin-King Funeral Home Brother David Bryant officiating.  
Mr. Waldrop was born in Lincoln County and resided in Yazoo City since 1962. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Yazoo City.   He was a World War II Army Veteran and a survivor of the Battle of the Bulge.  Mr. Waldrop was still working as an active Consulting Forester, Registered Forester #19.  
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Newton Waldrop; his first wife, Kathleen Waldrop and his daughter Gina Waldrop.  
Survivors include his wife, Bessie Russum Waldrop; his son, Kenny Waldrop of Yazoo City; his daughter Gail Harris of Yazoo City; his daughter Pam Morris of  Brandon, Ms.; his grandchildren Trip Waldrop; Sean Waldrop; Ryan Waldrop;  Benji Harris; Britt Harris; Remi Harris; Channing Morris and Fletcher Morris and eleven great- grandchildren.  
Serving as pallbearers were Benji Harris, Trip Waldrop, Britt Harris, Sean Waldrop, Channing Morris, Remi Harris, Ryan Waldrop, Fletcher Morris and Phil Thomas.  

MILDRED WILSON
Mildred H. Wilson, 88, died Monday, Jan. 10. 2011 at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.
Funeral services are today at 1 p.m. at Rocky Springs Cemetery with Rev. Terrell Veazey officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Stricklin-King Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wilson was born May 1, 1922 in Yazoo County to Sam Foster Hood and Pearlie Ellen Saxton Hood. She was a homemaker and a member of Rocky Springs Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilmer D. Wilson.
Survivors include two daughters, Marie Annette McClure of Vicksburg and Minnie Ellen Kudo of San Jose, Calif.; a son, Stephen O. Wilson of Great Bend, Kan.; a brother, Layton Hood of Covington, La.; 10 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
