Gateway MAP informs the public about the Social Host Bill

Maybe the third time will be the charm in getting a law passed that will make adults directly responsible if underage drinking is discovered on their property or in their home.
The Social Host Bill being introduced in the Legislature this spring will try to stop youth access to alcohol and pass the consequences related to underage drinking to any adult who allows such acts.
The Social Host Bill holds adults liable for knowingly permitting underage drinking parties on their property. The penalty is a misdemeanor with a maximum fine of $1,000 and or/ jail time.
