Deadline to qualify for this year’s elections is rapidly approaching, and there is already a spark of interest in a few local offices.
As of press time, three Yazoo County incumbent officials have challengers. Those offices include circuit clerk, sheriff and justice court judge.
“The activity for qualifying for this year’s elections has already been very busy,” said Circuit Clerk Susie Bradshaw, who is seeking re-election. “The qualifying period is from Jan. 1 until 5 p.m. on March 1 for all candidates seeking an office, including Independents.” -------for the rest of the story see The Yazoo Herald printed edition or subscribe to the Digital Edition.----------
