FRANCIS LEE
Francis “Poncho” Lee, 42, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.
Funeral services were Monday at Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Rev. Bill Hutto officiating. Burial followed under the direction of Stricklin-King Funeral Home.
Mr. Lee was born Dec. 27, 1967 in McAllen, Texas to Gilbert and Teresa Santamaria Lee. He was a plumbing specialist for Lowes and a Catholic.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his wife, Diane Lee of Jackson; mother, Teresa Lee of Jackson; and sisters, Annette Lee Wright of Morrow, Ark.
FRANCES MARTIN
Frances Virginia Martin, 89, died Saturday, Dec. 25, 2010 at Oasis Health and Rehabilitation.
Funeral services were Monday at the Stricklin-King Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Hutto officiating. Burial followed at Glenwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Martin was born March 7, 1921 in Yazoo County to Oscar Taylor Neely and Fannie Barrett Neely. She was a homemaker and a member of Short Creek Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Martin; a daughter, Shirley Miniver and a daughter-in-law, Cynthia Ann Martin.
Survivors include a son, William Taylor Martin of Yazoo City; two daughters, Marilyn Lewis (J.B.) of Yazoo City and Margaret Douglas (Viven); a sister, Blanche Scarborough of Yazoo City; six grandchildren, William T. Martin (Dusty), Connie Fife (Charlie), James Douglas (Cathy), Ronnie Lewis (Angie), Bill Lewis (Elizabeth) and Russell Lewis (Diane); and 13 great-grandchildren, Amanda Alexander, Adam Alexander, Kirk Douglas, Hunter Douglas, Taylor Martin, Katherine Martin, Jessie Lewis, Marie Lewis, Hope Glidewell, Wesley Glidewell, Bryan Pigg and Jonathan Boone.
Serving as pallbearers were James Douglas, William Martin, Buddy Calliham, Ronnie Lewis, Charlie Fife and Russell Lewis.
CLAUDINE McCOY
Claudine R. McCoy, 81, died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2010 at home.
Funeral services are today at 11 a.m. at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home in Vicksburg with Rev. Marvin Curtis officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. McCoy enjoyed embroidery and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Mary Margaret Renfrow; two husbands, Sylvester Howell and George McCoy; three brothers, one sister, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughters, Cricket Love, Betty Palmer, Judy Brown and Debra Hartley; sons, Billy Howell, Lewis Howell and Sambo Howell; sister, Ella Chandler of Moundsville, Ala.; 24 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers were Randy “Scoot” Brown, Jason “Bug” Page, Robbie Love. Jr., Glen Page, Raymond “Punkin” Brown Jr., Jake Page, Gene Love and Larry Hartley.
Honorary pallbearers were Betty Palmer, Dean Palmer, Jeanette Brooks, the Patient Choice Hospital staff and doctors Wooten, Pierce IV, Hall and Hamadeh.

PATTIE ANN MILLER
Pattie Ann Russell Miller, 71, died Dec. 3, 2010 at her home in Houston, Texas.
Funeral services were Dec. 8 at Klein Funeral Home in Cyfair, Texas with Dr. Mark A. Howell, Dr. Stuart Sheehan and Pastor Shawn Myers officiating. Burial followed at Houston National Cemetery.
Mrs. Miller was born March 27, 1939 in Yazoo City to Ardis Wardell Russell and Minnie Lou Patterson Russell. She was a longtime resident of Cyfair, Texas and an active member of Houston Northwest Church. She was employed with Cyfair Federal Credit Union for 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Malcolm W. Miller.
Survivors include her sons, Peter Miller (Barb), Jim Miller (Karen) and Mike Miller (Carrie), all of Houston, Texas; brothers, Ardis Russell and Wallace Russell, both of Yazoo City; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

WILLIAM STEWART
William Paul Stewart, 85, of Rolling Fork died Friday, December 24, 2010 at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.
Funeral services were Tuesday at McMullin-Young Funeral Home in Sullivan. Burial followed at Greenhill Cemetery with military rites by the American Legion Post # 68 of Sullivan.
Mr. Stewart was born April 7, 1925 in Allenville, to David Conrad and Mary Jewel Denham Stewart. He married Norma Maureen Wilham June 6, 1947 in Mt. Pulaski. She preceded him in death on Nov. 7, 2010. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Phil Ray Stewart and Doug Lee Stewart; one brother and one sister.
Survivors include his daughter, Paula (Jimmie) Howell of Cary; grandchildren Garrett Howell of Conway, Ark. and Avery Howell of Burlington, Vt.; great grandchild Taylor Howell of Rolling Fork.
