Yazoo Chapter NSDAR holds Christmas luncheon

The Yazoo Herald

The Yazoo chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution held its annual Christmas luncheon on Dec. 9 at 11:30 a.m. in the home of Beth Nicholas.
Following a delicious luncheon, JoAnne Collins, Chapter Regent, called the meeting to order. The Ritual and singing of the Star Spangled Banner was led by Sarastelle Sigrest, Chaplain. After a short business meeting, Priscilla Harper presented the program, “Christmas at Mount Vernon.”
Chapter members were delighted to welcome guests Dora Lee Clark, Sara Henderson and Pat Hassin.
Members were reminded of the genealogy workshop on Jan. 15, 2011 and the next chapter meeting on Jan. 20, 2011 at 10 a.m. in the Ladies Parlor of the First United Methodist Church.
Hostesses were Beth Nicholas, Frances Long and JoAnne Collins.
