CLAIRE CAMPBELL

Claire Moore Campbell, 93, died Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010 at Highland Homes in Ridgeland.
Funeral services were Tuesday at Glenwood Cemetery. Burial followed under the direction of Stricklin-King Funeral Home.
Mrs. Campbell was born Oct. 17, 1917 in Blakely, Ga. to Andrew H. Moore and Clyde Womack Moore. She was a homemaker and a member of First Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, A. Bland Campbell; a daughter, Claire Anne Campbell; and a son, Colin Campbell.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol C. Ditosti (Robert) of Naples, Fla.; sons,  A. Bland Campbell Jr. (Dotsie) of Charlestown, W.V. and Jeff Campbell (Tess) of Yazoo City; six grandchildren, Bland Campbell (Teri) of Fredricks, Va., Quaid Campbell (Carla) of Little Rock, Ark., Pamela Campbell of Starkville, Maggie Campbell (James Ferguson) of Brandon, Jordan Deron of Westland, Mich. and Christopher Deron of Westland, Mich.; and six great-grandchildren.

FRANCES CLARK

Frances Still Clark, 90, of Columbus, Ga., died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010.
Funeral services were Monday at Parkhill Cemetery.
Mrs. Clark was born Oct. 13, 1920 in Newton to Jessie Monroe Still and Lillian Cosmos Doolittle Still. She attended Belhaven College in Jackson and married George E. Clark of Yazoo City on Nov. 25, 1944 at the Post Chapel, Ft. Benning, Ga.
As a career military couple they served in Liege, Belgium and Germany as part of the post war occupation of Europe and in Alaska and other posts in the United States. Several of these deployments brought them back to Ft. Benning, where Lt. Col. Clark retired in 1961. He preceded Frances Clark in death in 1997.
A member of the First Presbyterian Church, she served two terms as deacon, was a Stephen Minister and active in Circle 4 and Presbyterian Women. Clark was a member of DAR, the Oglethorpe Chapter, a docent at The Columbus Museum, officer of The Student Club and active in other organizations.
Survivors include members of her late husband’s family, including Charlie Quekemeyer Clark of Yazoo City (Georgie), the late Frederick Raymond Clark of Yazoo City and his widow Dora Livingston Clark, and Elizabeth A. Clark of New York City and many nieces and nephews.
