Rehearsals are currently underway for a Christmas Cantata scheduled for 6:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 10 at the Triangle Cultural Center.
The program, sponsored by the Oakes African American Cultural Center, will feature performers from area churches under the direction of Edwina Gordon Fox.
Participants have been rehearsing at St. Stephen United Methodist Church Thursday evenings in preparation for the event.
This is the third year that a musical celebration of the Christmas season, sponsored by the Oakes Advisory Board of Directors, has been held at the Triangle.
