Lady Panthers 1-1 to start season

Three of Spencer’s seven baskets came behind the arc to lead all scorers. She also grabbed five rebounds.

Each team had plenty of chances to take advantage of the early momentum in the ball game, but remained deadlocked after one quarter of play.

JA, who finished third in the MAIS Class AAA championship last year, edged out the Lady Panthers in the second quarter to hold on to a one point advantage at the break.
