JOSIE IRWIN

Josie Mae Irwin, 71, of Benton died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010 at home.
Funeral services were Thursday at Shiloh Baptist Church with Rev. John Adams officiating. Burial followed at Shiloh Cemetery under the direction of Stricklin-King Funeral Home.
Mrs. Irwin was born Aug. 26, 1939 in Yazoo County to Charlie A. Davis and Minnie Hollowell Davis. She was a homemaker and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara L. Pierce of Benton; two sons, James W. Irwin Jr. of Terry and Thomas Wayne Irwin of Carthage; two sisters, Minnie Pennington of Yazoo City and Neoma Adams of  Bentonia; two brothers, Luther Davis of Benton and Bobby Davis of Carthage; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were Ricky Evans, Dennis Adams, Josh Pugh, Chris Pierce, David Carpenter, Chad Fieber, Blake Luehlfing and Jamie Davis.

NORMA STEWART

Norma Maureen Stewart, 82, of Rolling Fork died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland.
Funeral services were Thursday,  at McMullin-Young Funeral Home in Sullivan, Ill. Burial followed in Greenhill Cemetery.
Mrs. Stewart was born April 29, 1928 in Lake Fork, Ill. to Laurence and Viola Munyon Wilham. She married William Paul Stewart, June 6, 1947, in Mt. Pulaski. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Phil Ray Stewart and Doug Lee Stewart; sister, Louise Baumhardt.
Survivors include her husband Paul; daughter, Paula (Jimmie) Lee of Cary; brother, Larry (Selma) Wilham of Lincoln, Ill.; sister, Ethel Spann of Springfield, Ill.; grandchildren Garrett Howell of Conway, Ark. and Avery Howell of Burlington, Vt.; and a great-grandchild, Taylor Howell of Rolling Fork.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
JAMES WINSTEAD
James A. Winstead, 80, of Vicksburg died Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010 at home.
Funeral services were Tuesday at Glenwood Chapel with Rev. Reggie Crawford officiating. Burial followed at Green Acres Memorial Park.
Mr. Winstead was born in Yazoo City and had lived in Vicksburg since 1950. He was the owner of Winstead Trucking and a retired truck driver. He was also a former employee of Portland Cement Company and Anderson-Tully Company, where he was the supervisor of Mill K.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of Bomar Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Yvonne B. Winstead of Vicksburg; a son, Jimmy L. Winstead of Jackson; a daughter, Debra Harper of Vicksburg; two brothers, Bill Winstead of Yazoo City and Marvin Winstead of Hattiesburg; three sisters, Laverne Parker, Glenda Millwood and Lois Anne Jenkins, all of Yazoo City; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were Vernon Martin Jr., Neil Brooks, John Harper, Bill Winstead, David Daniels and Todd Brooks.
Honorary pallbearers were Carl Huval, Sam Smith, Billy Brooks, Donny Martin and Marvin Winstead.
